Here's a video for those whose girlfriend got or almost got potong jalan while they were protecting the nation (or filming funny videos while doing National Service).

Maybe it's because the singer is Kang Kang, who is often lampoon for his unconventional looks, we can empathize with the plight the protagonist in the song went through. If someone like F4 sang this song, we would probably turn up at their autograph signing session and laugh in their faces.


* POTONG JALAN

Malay, literally meaning "to cut a (new) road". Often used in the context of stealing somebody's girlfriend (v. rarely boyfriend) away, but can also refer to other types of transactions where one party is being bypassed or cut off.
