the story about the girl and her cat

A girl used to own this cat, which all her friends adore. She doted on it alot, showered alot of care and attention on it. The two of them grew so close that they were inseperable.

A few years elapsed, the girl sensed that her cat starting to drift away from her. The cat became more interested in playing with the stray cats rather than with her owner.

One fine day when the girl was feeding the cat, the cat bit the girl on her arms and ran away from home. The girl was saddened by the turn of events and began to question why the cat did this to her despite the care and attention that she showered on it.

A few weeks had gone by, and the girl was determined to forget about this ungrateful cat. However the cat reappeared in her home again and began to clamour for her attention like the good old days.

As the old adage goes, "Once bitten, twice shy". The girl was fearful that the cat would bite her and leave her alone to nurse her wound again. But she was still fond of all the good times she had with the cat and wished that she could forget everything and start afresh again.

Just when she was at her wits end, she chanced upon this quote: "To love something doesnt mean you have to possess it. To possess something doesnt necessary makes you happy."
